Job Description
You’ll act as a bridge between customers and engineering teams. You are proficient in surface modeling in CAD and are able to capture the requirements of robotic sheet metal forming technology for various designs and parts. You’ll partner with the Sales and Engineering teams and guide customers on identifying and transitioning parts for the robotic sheet metal forming technology. You’ll evaluate customer parts, consult on design and manufacturability, and develop internal and external facing technical reports and updates.
Basic Qualifications
- B.S. or M.S. of Engineering in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Aerospace, or related engineering field.
- 2 years of post-bachelors experience in manufacturing.
- Proficient at surface modeling in CAD (SolidWorks preferred) and demonstrated experience in working with various applications.
- In-depth understanding of varied manufacturing processes with emphasis on accuracy/precision assessment and the principles of GD&T.
- Demonstrated ability interfacing with interdisciplinary teams from engineers and product managers to sales and business development.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Experience solving complex problems with little to no supervision on schedule as an individual or as a member of an integrated team
- Desire to work in a fast-paced and intense startup environment.
- Has a great attitude and wants to make a lasting impact in the manufacturing field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a production, integration & test, or design role.
- Ability to program scripts in Python.
- Authored and/or revised technical documents (i.e. SOP, validation protocols, investigations, technical reports, etc.).
- Working knowledge of metals and alloys.
- Prior participation in lean, safety, and compliance activities.
