Assembler/Electrical Mechanical Specialist will perform electro-mechanical testing, reporting and assembly of moderate complexity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assemble, test and troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Sample test cables, harnesses and electrical assemblies and document failures.
  • Position may be required to assemble non-standard units, test parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product and customer specifications outlined in work instructions.
  • Follow defined manufacturing techniques and processes using hand tools and automatic wire crimping machinery to assemble units according to product specifications providing product quality assurance.
  • Assemble fabricated parts at prescribed work cells / centers.
  • Assemble, wire and adjust precision units and save data to company network drive.
  • Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Assist in creating documentation as required.
  • May participate and conduct internal audits.
  • Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.
  • Required to incorporate clean work practices in daily working routines.
  • Perform transactions in company ERP system.
  • Support production with assembly of electrical / mechanical components.
  • Assemble and test prototype units for future products.

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds.

Work Environment:
  • Work in a temperature controlled environment.
  • ESD (Electrical Static Discharge).

Education and/or Experience:
  • Requires 3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Proficient with transactions & validation in company ERP system (i.e. I, R, J)
  • Proficient in 1-8 work cells / centers / processes for production and troubleshooting.
  • Proficient with ISO documentation (CAR’ s, DMR’ s, etc.)
  • Proficient in company’ s diagnostic software (i.e. ArmAid).
  • Competent with Electrical Static Discharge (ESD).
  • Ability to identify components on Shop Orders, Pick Lists, and verify to Bill of Materials.
  • Ability to identify common electrical components and read schematics, wire diagrams and assembly drawings.
  • Must be computer literate and knowledge of MS Office products.
  • Team player: supports teammates and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Position may require a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty.
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

Organizational Relationships:
  • Works under immediate supervision.
  • This position reports to a supervisor or manager.
  • Interact daily with inventory clerks, calibration technicians and engineering where required.
