PEAK’ s client has been a broad line, business-to-business distributor of Electronic Production Supplies and other related products and services. Their products include: precision hand and power tools, solder and solder stations, chemicals, static control, test and inspection equipment, material handling and tool kits along with services like inventory management and technical support. Their customers include: Aerospace/ Defense, medical manufacturing, automotive, contract manufactures and government.



The Business Development Specialist is responsible for prospecting and following up on contacts and leads with the goal of qualifying them and generating new sales leads to support the marketing

and national sales team goals. Moreover, the responsibilities also include administrative, clerical, creative and analytical tasks. The Business Development Specialist role is an extension of the Marketing Department and functions to support various Marketing programs and campaigns as well as Sales related activities subject to change with the needs of the company.

The ideal candidate is expected to be detail orientated, motivated, self-starter with a positive and personable attitude that can interface with various business personnel professionally across different departments. In addition, the role also requires professional business etiquette at all times to conduct educated/well-informed phone conversations with internal and external personnel while being able to thoroughly document information in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform.



• Develop and qualify new business opportunities via telephone, email, direct mail and various mediums

depending on the needs of the company and contacts/leads

• Conduct research on new and existing contacts to identify potential prospects and follow up


• Assist the Marketing and Sales departments with contacts/leads and sales quotes along with reporting

in the CRM

• Data entry and file maintenance in the CRM

• Continuously monitor and benchmark against past performance to drive positive business results

• Punctuality: expected to arrive on time to the office for work and meetings

• Collaborate with the Marketing and Sales personnel

Additional Responsibilities:

• Assist in Marketing and Sales department projects as needed

• Coordinate the fulfillment of marketing collateral: print, fold, package and mail materials to mail to

leads to establish and build business relationships (subject to change on the needs of the company)

• Work overtime if needed



• 1-3 years of business development, call center, sales or related experience

• Fluent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

• Fluent with LinkedIn

• High attention to detail

• Ability to multitask

• Excellent organization skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Basic to intermediate math skills



• Experience with CRM software preferred

• Experience in B2B sales

• An interest in technology and business development
