Position Overview/Key Responsibilities:

The CNC Machinist will complete basic set-ups, off-set adjustments, and troubleshoot. This position will be operating multi-spindle machines such as Citizen, Stars, Nakamura, Miyano and single spindle machines such as Gang Tool and Prodigy operating with Windows based Mitsubishi and Fanuc controllers to produce high-precision components made from various medical grade stainless steels and plastics.
  • Under minimal supervision, performs basic machine set-ups, tool offsets, edit changes and adjustments necessary to maintain quality of production.
  • Inspects own work-in-process per the accepted procedures.
  • Conducts maintenance activities such as maintaining proper lubrication and fluid levels, chip removal, and general housekeeping practices.
  • Success in this position requires frequent communication with peers and management. These relationships must be built on respect, integrity, cooperation, teamwork and professionalism.
  • Self-inspects parts under a microscope.
  • Key Responsibilities may differ among employees with the same job title and may change over time, in accordance with business needs.

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Experience demonstrating mechanical aptitudes.
  • 7 year of CNC lathe/mill machining that includes adhering to safety policies, following work instructions, setting up, conducting 1st piece inspections, and consistently machining high quality parts.
  • Demonstrated product knowledge.
  • Demonstrated knowledge to read and understand complex blue prints.
  • Has demonstrated strong knowledge of quality control gauges and typical measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, etc.
  • Experienced utilizing a microscope.
  • Experience demonstrating basic problem solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a Lean environment.
  • Flexible to work in various machine areas.
