Work Environment

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop proficiency on machines required by specific department
  • Work under minimal supervision, act independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments
  • Read blueprints, layouts, charts, and job orders for specifications and tooling instructions to determine material requirements and operational sequences
  • Inspect sample work pieces to verify conformance with specifications using instruments such as gages, micrometers, and dial indicators
  • Measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects or trending issues and ensure conformance to specifications
  • Perform routine machine maintenance checks to ensure tools and equipment meet calibration requirements, replace worn tools as needed
  • Maintain and accurately fill out time cards and hourly QCPC charts
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
  • Participate in Lean and Kaizen activities
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are followed

Physical Demands
  • Required to lift 40lbs on occasion
  • Visual acuity to inspect small defects, operate machines, use measuring devices, and complete assembly/fabrication of small parts
  • Manual dexterity to move hands and arms to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects


Required Education
  • High School diploma or GED

Preferred Education and Experience:    
  • Associates Degree or local equivalent in related discipline
  • 1 year of experience in manufacturing
