Develops design drawings and related specifications of mechanical equipment by performing the following duties.
Analyzes engineering sketches, specifications, and related data and drawings to determine design factors such as size, shape, and arrangement of parts.
Creates detailed scale layouts of components and assemblies to clearly define surface areas, dimensions, radii, clearances, tolerances, and location of holes of related component parts.
Drafts detailed multi view drawings of plastic, machined and sheet metal component parts and sub-assemblies, including specifications for raw materials used and fasteners where applicable.
Assists Designer III on long term projects as assigned.
Provides " time-line" schedule information to complete assigned tasks for long term projects based on product knowledge, understanding of the engineering process as it relates to other department functions and product knowledge.
Provides " finish-time" information for short-term projects.
Creates “ Data entry ready” item master, B.O.M. & sales order information and other related engineering documents. Complexity will range from simple B.O.M. structures to complete product B.O.M. documentation.
Completes Engineering Order notice forms for projects assigned.
Experienced with Creo v.3 Able to create a variety of purchased and manufactured part models and assemblies including sheet metal parts. Able to create tabulation of parts and assemblies. Provide detail drawings and flat patterns needed by manufacturing to produce the finished design.
Proficient in Windows Word and Excel programs to process engineering documentation.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Associate' s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 2 years " hands-on" Pro-Engineer software experience in an Engineering environment.
