Job Description
Scope and Purpose of Position
Responsible for daily operations within the, Manufacturing, department. Ensuring the adherence to all regulatory and safety requirements and fulfilling manufacturing output, quality, time and cost requirements. Meeting budgetary and departmental objectives as agreed to by management. Develop and maintains a team environment with high levels of participation from all production associates.
Responsibilities
- Meet established department goals and measures, including productivity, labor and scrap
- Maintain budgetary expenses, commensurate with ongoing business volumes
- Evaluates operating results throughout the organization to ensure that organization growth and objectives are being met
- Oversee the effective utilization of the ERP system and challenges the norm to continuously improve business policies and practices
- Develops operating midterm and long term forecasts, budgets and develop plans to support business strategy
- Responsible for indirect management of daily scheduling and operations of designated areas of responsibilities
- Ensures that personnel are effectively utilized to meet manufacturing needs
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards, safety rules and applicable company policies and procedures
- Utilize human resources effectively, train and coach and provide developmental opportunities for personnel to increase cross training and scheduling flexibility, along with development opportunities for staff
- Evaluate the performance of personnel; recommend salary and or promotional actions. Take appropriate actions to resolve marginal performance.
- Maintain a positive working environment that encourages personnel participation, team work and mutual support
- Coordinate activities with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Facilities, QA and Engineering to ensure production, productivity and quality standards are met.
- Responsible to develop, implement, and ensure safety policies are adhered to, and that personnel are trained in and follow safe work procedures. SHE Safety Officer.
- Ensure proper maintenance and work place organization of equipment and work areas, along with overall site visual appearance
- Seek input and guidance on complex problems or new activities, with implementation of agreed upon approaches
- Solve and trouble shoot routine daily operations problems.
- Make decisions that ensure the quality and integrity of the product that is manufactured
- Any and all other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and or manager
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- In depth understanding of the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry
- Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices and ISO Standards
- Significant communication and interaction skills
- Strong leadership with the ability to develop key personnel in support of business growth plans
- Computer literate with solid presentation skills
- Ability to interact with and work cross functionally with numerous departments
- Ability to work independently, identifying areas of opportunity for improvement
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
Required Education and Experience
- BA/BS degree.
- 10 years’ industry experience directly associated with aseptic manufacturing
- 7 or more years’ experience in a supervisory role of a large team environment
- Budgetary responsibility along with P&L experience
Salary: $190,000.00- $200,000.00/Year
