What You'll Do:
The Electrical Design Engineer’s role is to design and develop detailed drawings of the designs created by the Electrical Engineers. May work in tandem with other Engineers and Designers to modify and maintain existing drawings.
The Electrical Design Engineer reports directly to a Project Engineer or the Principal Engineer.
What We Are Looking For:
Looking for 5-10 years of experience in high voltage design. Specifically looking for substation and power distribution system experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
Experience requires five to ten years of experience as an Electrical Engineer.
Ability to take designs and notes from clients, engineers and projects to create designs.
Must stay up to date with changes in design tools and software in the electrical industry.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret designs, plans, contracts, technical reports and industry/trade agreements.
Ability to print, email or ship documents in whatever manner the customer chooses to receive them.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to work with computer software packages such as AutoCAD, Autodesk, BlueBleam, Microsoft Office, database applications, industry specific software and other basic software programs.
Ability to communicate complex, technical material in a simple, clear and concise manner.
PLC and relay programming capabilities are a plus
Experience with EPC projects is also a plus
