Job Description
Remote / Field Service Technicians are responsible for ensuring the proper working order of our client's Electric Vehicle charging stations at locations throughout the United States and elsewhere as required. Activities may include any of the following:

- Troubleshooting to identify root cause of problems affecting the proper operation of various hardware
- Remove and replace defective components
- Perform preventive maintenance functions as required on a monthly, quarterly and/or annual basis
- On occasion, interface with customers and EV drivers to understand details of reported problems
- Perform remote diagnostic tasks as needed prior to traveling to EV charging station locations
- Analyze charger performance via review of various reporting portals
- Self-motivated and capable of working effectively without direct supervision
- Ability to work in a consistently safe manner
- Ability to operate basic hand tools and electrical measurement devices
- Must be capable of interacting with site hosts and the general public in a professional and courteous manner
- Must be capable of critical thinking and possess the ability to solve complex mechanical and electrical problems
- Technicians are required to plan and manage their own workday to ensure that they are working in the most effective and efficient manner
- Technicians will set their own actual work hours daily, which may vary from day to day, based on quantity and location of work required each day
- Technicians will make all reasonable efforts to complete all work within the time frame allocated for that day (Estimated 10 hours M-F and occasional hours on Sat). If hours worked exceed 12 hours/day approval from supervisor is required.
- Technicians must take all required lunch and rest breaks throughout their workday.
- Any needed travel or other expenses required for completion of work tasks will be reimbursed by the company upon completion of an expense report on a bi-weekly basis. All expenses must comply with company guidelines and rules regarding travel expenses.
- Any tools or other equipment needed to perform tasks shall be provided by the company and shall remain the property of the company. Any personally owned tools used by the technician in performance of their duties shall remain the property of the technician.
- Based on discussions with your supervisor, you may be provided a company vehicle for use in your daily work. However, any needed travel in personal vehicle shall be reimbursed per company guidelines.
