Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide supervision and direction to technical staff for preparation of subdivision plats, topographic, boundary and ALTA surveys
- Perform necessary calculations and checks to ensure accuracy of work
- Retrace boundary and existing rights of way lines and corners
- Prepare Surveyor Reports and other technical reports as needed
- Coordination with clients, internal staff, and sub-consultants for successful project completion
- Ability to manage survey projects and successfully meet schedule and budget
- Provide direction to field staff to ensure necessary data is obtained and field procedures are followed
Requirements
- Indiana Licensed Surveyor (LS) - Professional License must be in good standing with board of registrations
- 5+ years of experience in ALTA/boundary surveying, subdivision platting and/or right of way engineering
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to write technical reports and professionally communicate with clients, staff, other consultants, and the public
- Must be competent in CAD or Computer Aided Drafting
- Desire to grow professionally and provide mentorship and guidance to staff survey technicians
- Ability to work in a team environment
- This position is primarily in an office setting but may require occasional field work
- The selected candidate must be authorized to work in the United States
