Our customer is seeking a qualified Continuous Improvement  Manager to support their Wooster, OH facility.  This position will be responsible for coordinating efficiency improvement activities and will facilitate the improvement process under the guidelines of the MOVE strategy.

This position will be responsible for developing a Lean Road Map, organize/facilitate workshops once a week, targeted to improve manufacturing and business processes, 5S, TPM, value stream & swim lane, material flow and work place organization. He/she will lead the work shop hands on, and will be creative with improvements. He/she will follow up/support the implementation of the actions identified.

He/she will organize and measure the progress of improvement initiatives and ensure plant/department wide consistency, while adhering to company policies and safety standards. The MOVE Manager will collect and analyze data related to processes targeted for improvement. He/she will define the participants of the workshop and will lead the training during the workshop.

The MOVE Leader will teach the training classes of MOVE LITE, Lean Enterprise and specific in depth MOVE topics. He/she will develop new and improved existing training classes for the North American region.  The MOVE Leader is required to teach at the MOVE academy in Fort Mill, SC for a min. of 2 weeks a year.

The MOVE Leader will communicate all topics between the plant / department / organizational unit and the central MOVE group and participate in regional events.

Candidate Qualifications:
  • At least a Bachelor' s Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
  • Candidates must have at least three years of manufacturing & leadership experience.
  • Qualified candidates should have previous experience with the following: Lean Manufacturing Techniques (Value Stream Mapping, 5´ s, TPM, Logistic concepts, Kanban system) & Kaizen philosophy, Bottleneck theory, Business Process Analysis, AutoCAD, statistical concepts & knowledge of the current quality specifications. 
  • Candidates should have the ability to work well under pressure, maintain high initiative, and must be very well organized with the ability to handle multiple assignments and prioritize appropriately.
  • Some travel may be required.
