Peak is looking for a Principal Software Engineer for a growing network security client of our in the Silicon Valley. This is a hybrid opportunity with competitive pay based on experience.
- Collaborate with and across Agile teams to gather requirements, design, develop, implement, test, and maintain technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies
- Design, implement, document, and support CI/CD process automations for multiple products
- Perform code and design reviews
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the DevOps and development environments
- Provide support and enhance Engineering productivity as needed
- Document procedures, processes to enable knowledge proliferation
- Provide technical trainings and mentor others
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 7+ years of direct experience in DevOps, Infrastructure, Tooling, Build, and/or Release.
- High proficiency to read, write, and debug automation scripts using one or more programming languages such as Python, Linux shell, Groovy, Perl, TCL or other relevant programming language.
- Extensive experience with CI/CD pipeline automation, branching strategies, software build systems, release processes, and engineering tools for software and SaaS products. Familiar with build processes such as Maven, npm, Make, Gradle, etc.
- Experience Maintaining GitLab, GitHub, JIRA, Jenkins, Spinnaker, Artifactory, SVN, Bugzilla and integration of tools for project management, defect tracking, static analysis, security vulnerability scanning, OSS licensing, etc.
- Experience with Linux OS administration, NFS, NIS, iSCSI, package management, and shell scripting
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware ESXi, KVM, or container management such as Docker
- Experience using Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or other orchestration tools
EDUCATION:
- BS Computer Science or Engineering + 12 years of experience
- MS Computer Science or Engineering + 10 years of experience
