QC Inspector (2nd shift)

  • Inspection of all in-process production to drawings on an hourly basis
  • Inspection of all finished goods to drawings for final inspection
  • Complete recording and filing of inspections conducted
  • Completion of first article inspection reports
  • Maintenance and proper storage of all approved and rejected samples
  • Demonstration and training of machine operators in quality requirements and use of QC equipment
  • Verification of properly packaged shift production and creation of part labels
  • Preparation, counting and packaging of finished goods
  • Assisting with giving breaks and lunches

Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:
  • 2 or more years QC experience in previous job

Skills:
  • Must be able to lift up to 25lbs.
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish/English).
  • Ability to read blueprints / drawings
  • Ability to use QC instruments including, but not limited to: calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges
  • Great attention to detail required
  • Good communication skills
  • Self-starter
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, six sigma, and previous plastics manufacturing experience a plus
  • Must be able to work in a busy fast paced and high-volume environment
  • Accountability
  • Must report all discrepancies to Shift Supervisor or Lead person. Inspection of all in-process production to drawings on an hourly basis
