The Quality Assurance of a variety of items at The Company  is Critical to the Success of The Company  and our client base. This Role will be tasked to utilize their seasoned skills to be effective, efficient, and productive daily. The Quality Managers will be expected to work as a cohesive unit to manage all quality control aspects of aircraft maintenance, aircraft painting, material, and tooling acquisition, and administration of maintenance and training records. as well as assist in creating an atmosphere of communication, collaboration, and teamwork.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordination of Customer Inspector Training and Certification Requirements

• Serves as the primary quality control resource for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting

• Qualification Validation and Appointment for Interim Quality Manager to Support Organization During Extended Period Absences

• Ensure that Work Orders are Completed Per Established Inspection Procedures and Sign Air Worthiness Releases

• Ensure that Parts Tags are Filled Out and Processed Properly with Proper Tag Attached

• Support Records Supervisor with Controlling and Auditing Work Orders

• Provide Training (Initial and Recurrent) to Site Employees

• Perform Quality Assurance Audits and Routine Surveillance of In-Process Work

• Manage the Internal Quality Audit Program

• Review Inspection Forms and Paperwork for Proper Completion

• Serve as the Alternate Repair Station Point of Contact for the FAA

• Survey and Approve Potential Materials and Service Vendors

• Ability to Communicate Effectively with a Variety of Methods (Verbal, Written, Presentation, Etc.)

• Manage the administration and compliance of Manuals: Repair Station, Quality Control, Repair Station Training, Quality Management System, and Operations Specifications.

• Creation of Standardized Reporting of Service Risks, Major Repairs and Unapproved Parts in Accordance with Applicable Regulations

• Manage all quality control aspects of aircraft maintenance, aircraft painting, material and tooling acquisition, and administration of maintenance records. Manage the administration of the Repair Station Manual, Quality Control Manual, Repair Station Training Manual, Operations Specifications, and Quality Management System.

• Performs root-cause analysis and other problem-solving activities to identify effective corrective actions and process improvements IAW 10.2 CAR Procedure.

• Monitors vendor performance and establishes criteria and rating system for critical vendors.

• Interacts with customers to identify opportunities to improve quality and establish feedback with manufacturing and development personnel.

• Reports to management on quality issues and trends.

• Interfaces with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems with quality control and assure that effective corrective action is implemented.

• Establishes and administrates an organization capable of performing cleaning, inspection, and repairs of aircraft components and accessories to ensure compliance with company standards and regulation requirements.

• The Quality Manager has the sole authority to accept or recall all product, either produced procured by a supplier, or supplied by an  operator. Responsible to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformance relating to products, processes, or the quality system.

• Ensures that up-to-date technical information is available throughout The Company  system of operation. Recommends, initiates, implements, and verifies solutions for continuous quality and process improvement.

• Ensures compliance with Airworthiness Directives and regulations of the Federal Aviation Administration and the requirements of The Company. Repair Station Manual.

• Ensures that all equipment and tooling used by the repair station is maintained in a safe operating condition.

• Ensure that inspection personnel are properly evaluated and trained in procedures, methods, and practices pertinent to their job assignments and maintain proper and current training records.

• Submit reports of defects or unairworthy conditions as required by CFR145.

• Liaison with assigned FAA inspector in the furtherance of Aviation Safety and Airworthiness.

• Authorize and maintain list for aircraft release authorizations and delegated inspectors.

• Responsible for the accomplishment of vendor and internal audits, support for the development of solutions and the completion of audit reports generated by this office.

• Oversees calibration and testing programs. Assure that periodic checks and calibrations are made on all inspection tools and precision test equipment used by the repair station and those current records of those checks and calibrations are maintained

• Ensure that all preliminary, hidden damage, in-progress, and final inspection of all articles processed by the repair station are properly performed on all completed work before it is approved for return of service, and maintenance records, reports, and forms required for such release are properly executed.

• Perform receiving inspection duties.

• May delegate authority to an appropriately rated and trained person but retains responsibility.

• This is a safety sensitive position.

 

Position Requirements

• Ability to Wear Full Face Respirators, Coveralls and Fall Restraint Equipment

• Ability to Pass a DOT Drug and Alcohol Test

• Ability to Pass a 10 Year Background Check and Obtain TSA Airport Badge

• Ability to Work a Variety of Shifts Based on Company and Client Needs

• Experience Designing, Developing, Implementing and Training Program Related Items

• Experience with Lean Production, TQM, and/or Six Sigma Work Environments

• Organizational Skills to Function Properly in a Fast-Paced Industrial Environment

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position directly supervises Inspectors and carries out

supervisor responsibilities in accordance with The Company policies and applicable laws. Including

interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; monitoring

performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving

problems.

 

Education and/or Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the aviation quality/inspection area with a large

organization.

• Inspection personnel are required to read, write, and understand English.

• Continuing education of CFRs such as Part 145, 121, 65 and Part 43.

Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations: Current FAA A&P Certificate (validation verified)

 

Computer Skills: Current Software Skills such as MS Office Suite, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.

 

Physical Demands: The employee is required to work at a desk for long periods of time.

 

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to

an energetic, team-oriented office environment.

 
Salary- $80,000.00- $100,000.00/Year
