Manages assigned sales accounts and engages in activities to develop new accounts. Responsible for achieving established sales goals and objectives. Employs effective salesmanship and methodologies to create new end-user demand as well as growing the revenue base within already established and/or assigned accounts.

Technical experience  in the composites industry

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
  • Solicits new business by initiating phone calls, through personal meetings, attending trade shows and industry and technology events, etc.
  • Develops a sales plan and strategy to achieve established sales and profit margin goals and objectives.
  • Monitors, analyses and documents results monthly to provide management visibility on sales revenue results. Revise plans and employs other strategies as necessary to achieve favorable results.
  • Establishes strategic partnerships with existing and new customers to meet or exceed customer needs per our established company Quality Policy.
  • Coordinates liaison between  department, sales administrators, reps, purchasing agent, distribution, quality and other department employees as needed.
  • Quotes prices and credit terms for orders obtained.
  • Estimates date of delivery based on best information available of the companies production and delivery schedules.
  • Supports coordination of changes to delivery dates, quantities, methods, etc. as needed to achieve customer/company agreement on delivery parameters.
  • Investigates and resolves customer complaints and issues.
  • Provides sales forecast, budget information and other data as requested by VP, sales and/or Senior Sales Manager.
  • Maintains a high level of product and industry knowledge including industry and market trends, key competitor activity, new applications, technology improvements, etc.
  • Represents the companies at trade association meetings and events to promote companies products and services.
  • Follows safety rules and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Exhibits exemplary conduct at all times in dealing with other employees including any outside contacts.
  • Contributes to the establishment and attainment of a positive, safe, and team-oriented environment.

  • Four-year college degree (prefer engineering degree ).
  • 3-5 years experience in sales, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Must have some work experience with chemicals, carbon fiber and or composites .

Specialized Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, both electronic and traditional. Experience and skill in negotiating pricing and contractual terms and conditions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Personable, creative and tenacious with ability to interact with.
