Our customer a global automotive and industrial supplier, is seeking a Sales Manager  for our facility in Wooster, OH.

The Sales Manager is responsible for obtaining maximum OE sales and Profit. The sales manager will handle many commercial activities the largest being the quoting process. This includes coordinating Design, Costing, Financial Analysis, Executive Review/Communication and the quote creation. Once the quote is at the customer the Sales Manager will work with the Key Account Manager to follow up on, defend, and further breaking down the quote as needed. The Sales Manager is responsible for coordinating new capacity requests as they arrive from the customer. As well as being responsible for maintaining a good relationship with key customer personnel in Purchasing, Product Development, Quality and Management in order to produce maximum sales.

S/he will communicate and promote worldwide capabilities to customers and work with the Director of Sales to improve the competitive position, negotiate contracts and resolve customer complaints and issues.  S/he confers with Senior Management to establish sales and marketing goals, objectives, presentations, budgets and strategies.  S/he works with product design and production engineering department concerning contractual rights and obligations. 

The Sales Manager will work closely with the Customer Service Specialist to review and approve new POs, while jointly monitoring and maintaining the DSO. The Sales Manager will monitor the results on new product launches in order to assure customer satisfaction.This person will need to have good listening and interpersonal skills, along with a diplomatic and tactful manner. S/he will need to have a professional image with a strong presence. This person will need a demonstrated ability to retain existing accounts, and also a strong track record of success in developing new business.

Candidate Qualifications:
  • Technical:  Product knowledge, presentation, mediation and negotiation skills & knowledge of current quality specifications.
  • Interpersonal:  Relationship development, communication (verbal & written).
  • Organizational:  Multi-tasking, planning, time management.

Education & Experience:
  • BSME.
  • MBA preferred.
  • 7-10 years of experience in tier one automotive sales or engineering.

Additional Information:
  • Shift: 1st.
