JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES

Business development activities as they relate to the growth of the interiors department   to include:  meetings/presentations with potential clients, developers, real estate brokers, participation at perspective job interviews, responding to requests for   proposal and attendance at industry-related functions (may be after-hours)
  • Management of all aspects of large and small interior design projects
  • Preparation and negotiation of contracts – both client and consultant
  • Adherence to project budgets
  • Responsibility to take projects from initial client presentation and programming through
  • Space planning, design development, documents, permitting, bidding and construction
  • Responsibility for the development of the design and ability to lead projects in a
  • collaborative environment
  • Knowledge of ADA, building egress and other relevant codes
  • Ability to pay attention to detail and accuracy
  • Prepare and present concepts/solutions for discussion - which may involve input from thers (President, VP, Client, etc)
  • Ability to integrate design requirements with architecture
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments, manage potential staff and possess excellent oral /written communication skills for client interface.
  • Knowledge of construction means and costs as they apply to interior construction
  • Ability to select, detail and integrate finish materials
  • Knowledge and ability to prepare furniture systems specifications and to coordinate with vendors
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and Photoshop graphics
  • To contribute, or otherwise assist, as required
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently
  • Ability to take initiative in response to direction or instruction
  • Possess excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive and potentially confidential information
  • Ability to manage and prioritize tasks and time efficiently
  • Ability to build and maintain good relationships at all levels, internally and externally
  • Ability to mentor and work as part of an effective team assisting and supporting team members
  • Ability to cope with conflicting demands, able to prioritize duties and work effectively under pressure
