Our customer is looking for a Senior I/C Engineer to join their Oil, Gas & Chemical (OG&C) group located in the Tulsa, OK office.
  • The ideal candidate must have excellent written and communication skills, proficient in Microsoft office software, organizational, project documentation skills along with I&C Engineering Project Management skills.
  • Able to take control of a project and manage from start to finish, and must have refinery or chemical plant experience, a minimum of three years.

Responsibilities include specifying normal process instrumentation such as temperature, pressure, level transmitters, control valves, flow and restrictive orifices, flow equipment, analyzers, CEM Units, DCS & PLC’ S etc. Programming is not a requirement of this position.
  • Person must also be able to mark up P&ID’ s for proper communication and control of instrumentation.
  • Work with and assist in training of younger engineers, willing to work with the design group in assisting with drawings and documentation.
  • Willingness to back up designers verifying/specify proper wire and conduit to meet project and area requirements.
  • Work closely with other discipline engineers and project managers.
  • Will work with/mentor junior designers and drafters.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’ s Degree and 10+ years of experience.
  • Three years of which need to be from a refinery and or chemical plant.
  • Held the position of Senior I/E designer for a minimum of three years
  • 10 - 25% Travel.
  • Refinery and/or chemical plant instrument/control/communication engineering experience required.
  • Must have developed the following skills: leadership, planning, team work, decision making, judgment and problem solving.
  • Able to work with little supervision.
  • Must have diverse, yet strong overall technical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Familiar with AutoCAD Version 2013 minimum is a plus.
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office suit.

Familiarity with the Following:
  • Knowledge of ISA Standards is required.
  • API-500 a plus.
  • Construction and installation practices for all area classifications required.
