Position Duties:
  • Supervise Inventory Control and Receiving operations (5 people), including personnel selection, training, evaluation and timekeeping.
  • Monitor inventory flow and processes for maximum inventory integrity of $7M inventory, to ensure accurate shipment of $60M annually.
  • Guide receiving operation in timely and accurate receipt and putaway of inbound material.
  • Document processes, implement and report measurements to monitor progress and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage Receiving Productivity collection and reporting.
  • Shipping Error investigation and resolution.
  • Work with Shipping to rotate personnel into other departments as capacity allows.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Supervise Receiving personnel and Warehouse Coordinator, including hiring, training, objective setting, evaluation, administration of merit increases and recognition.
  • Manage Receiving personnel to ensure receipts and cycle counts are performed and inventory discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Ensure correct placement and efficiency of Receiving personnel.
  • Monitor worker performance for daily productivity.
  • Maintain daily timekeeping records.
  • Ensure safety sweeps, safety observations and facility audits are completed each month.
  • Administer monthly KPIs.
  • Post safety reminders.
  • Oversee Forklift Training and Certification.
  • Process / monitor inventory receipts and internal transfers.
  • Reconcile inbound suspense and intransit reports daily.
  • Reconcile inbound staging areas daily to ensure all receipts are put away same day.
  • Investigate / reconcile inventory discrepancies resulting from daily picking processes.
  • Reconcile outbound suspense and intransit reports daily.
  • Administer cycle count process: assign count ranges to counters in warehouse, reconcile discrepancies as necessary.
  • Report cycle count results monthly to Finance.
  • Meet minimum counting requirements as defined by Finance.
  • Handle emails from CSRs / customers concerning questions about shipments (qty problems, part # problems, damaged or lost freight).
  • Conduct error/issue investigation, advise or carry out corrective action, do root cause analysis, and maintain error databases and monthly reporting of shipping accuracy.
  • Disposition returned inventory upon receipt, interface with credit and customer Service to perform inventory transactions.
  • Carrier Performance.
  • Meet with carriers, communicate needs and performance assessment, and schedule " hot shot" shipments by selecting vendor that meets customers needs (cost and delivery).
  • Manage interfaces between PRMS and Workbench.
  • Re-apply failed transactions and reconcile daily inventory compare report.
  • Perform regular comparison of orders at pick print status on PRMS to orders on Workbench – reconcile / resolve as necessary.
  • Purchase shipping supplies.
  • Negotiate the most cost-effective pricing on corrugated (coordinate with IP Supply Chain).
  • Ensure timely entry of requisitions for corrugated, supplies and equipment repairs.
  • Ensure timely receipts for corrugated and supply deliveries.
  • Reconcile invoices to receipts to ensure timely payment to vendors.
  • Spearhead Lean Transformation.
  • Maintain facility and Receiving SQDC boards and LEAN spreadsheets.
  • Use lean concepts to create new efficiency and productivity standards and measurements, including 6S with weekly audits throughout the facility.
  • Implement cross-dock process to flow non-stock purchased product.
  • Manage non-conformances in general: unidentified receipts/returns, out of place parts, damaged parts, mis-labeled parts, wrong parts sent by vendors, lack of shelf life dates, returns, etc.
  • Adhere to ISO 9001 Certification in receiving.
  • Determine training requirements, administer training and ensure procedure accuracy.
  • Keep all facility procedures accurate and oversee Warehouse personnel publishing changes.
  • Spearhead audits with Logistics Manager.
  • Cross train in all areas of warehouse administration to backfill in the absence of other team members.
  • Work with Shipping & Machining to rotate personnel into other departments as capacity allows.
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by local management.
  • Position requires visibility to controlled documents.
Education, Skills, and Experience:
  • BS or equivalent work experience.
  • 5- 7 years of warehouse experience with 2-3 years in a leadership role.

  • OSHA Compliance Requirements / Knowledge.
  • ITT ESH Compliance Requirements.
  • ISO 9001 Certification Requirements.
  • PC Skills – MS Office, Outlook.
  • Web-based System skills – Concur, ESH Metrics, eBuyITT.
  • AS/400 Skills – PRMS, Exeter WMS, and interfaces between the systems.
  • Knowledge of Lean Tools and Methods.
